HUMSV 127 – Community Resources and Entitlement Programs - In this course students learn about community resources for at-risk populations and how to help human services consumers access entitlement programs.

Course is completely on-line and taught by Judy White, Human Services Program Coordinator.

Class begins October 13, 2008 and is one credit hour.


HUMSV 150 -Childhood Mental Illnesses provides an overview of mental illnesses diagnosed during childhood and adolescence. Primary signs and symptoms are presented as well as common treatments. The course includes a discussion of treatment resources and barriers to treatment.

This is a one credit hour course which includes 16 hours of educational instruction for $82.


HUMSV 151 – Crisis and Suicide Intervention- This course is designed to prepare students to understand the nature of several psychological and social issues such as suicide, stress, mental illnesses, anxiety, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Students will also learn basic prevention and intervention strategies to deal with such issues.
