Calming Techniques for Parents & Caregivers

Joining Forces for Children coalition member Sarah Habib recently launched a new evidence-based program that teaches parents and educators proven mindfulness techniques for empowering kids to better process emotions, improve behavior, cooperate, and build resilience. The Calm Caterpillar Program combines the idea of creating a calm space in the house with breathing techniques and modeling mindfulness for children. Sarah has 3 new resources to share with the Joining Forces for Children community! The Family Breathing Practice Calendar, Breathing Techniques poster, and lunchroom anxiety reduction activities are all free and open for anyone to use.
